Water serves as a solvent for the transport of numerous substances such as nutrients and waste products, and as a reaction partner for numerous metabolic processes. Even in the regulation of body temperature through perspiration water is indispensable. Be because water is constantly being excreted in the urine and sweat, it must always be fed back into the body.
